At Tuxedo Home Maintenance, we recently tackled a unique project for a customer in Clemson. They were having trouble with birds building nests on their porch columns, so they asked us to come up with a solution. We designed and fabricated sloped features that sit atop the columns, effectively preventing birds from using the space as a nesting spot. This bird deterrent installation was a fun challenge that allowed us to flex our creative muscles and solved a real-world problem for our customer. Now, as you can see from the photos, the new bird deflectors blend seamlessly with the house and are hardly noticeable unless you’re a bird with previous intentions of building a nest there!
